Corporate Social Responsibility

Since 2012, IDC has been a member of « RSE Sénégal », an initiative for corporate social responsibility in Senegal. Developing the skills of our teams is a priority for us. We therefore implement training programs to boost the skills of our teams. We have also introduced a number of Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

We invest in the areas in which we operate to promote local development. We are involved in a number of projects, such as the rehabilitation of health and social infrastructures and the drilling of wells. We also contribute material or financial donations to support the actions of our partners.

We create job opportunities for young graduates through our integration program. In 2023, twelve young graduates were recruited after a 6-month training course at IDC.

Actions to reduce our carbon footprint are ongoing at all our sites. These involve raising awareness among our employees and collaborators about the elimination, substitution or reduction of waste generated in the conduct of our activities. This is achieved through responsible waste management, including efficient cleaning and appropriate recycling.

Health
& Security

We focus on risk prevention by promoting the early detection of hazards. Our employees receive ongoing training, particularly in safety and best practices on site. This training is supported by our regularly updated HSE procedure manuals.

The correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to ensure everyone's safety. Before the start of any activity, we insist on a detailed inspection of the vehicle fleet and drilling equipment.

Mandatory "Toolbox" meetings are held on site at the start of each shift. The aim of these meetings is to promote a safe working environment and to ensure that both employees and customers understand the need to comply with HSE best practices.
